Multiple Domain Web
Hosting
All of our ecommerce
web hosting plans, plus selected business
and windows
plans have these additional important features: add-on domains,
sub-domains and parked domains for no
extra cost.
Just imagine the luxury of being able to hold all of your domains
under one control panel without having to pay additional monthly
fees. In many cases, a single individual can own as many as 10 domains
for their personal use and such monthly fees for of all of these
domains can simply be astronomical. That's why we have enabled this
incredible feature to do the obvious: help reduce overhead costs
and batch them all under one plan. Of course, one should never be
too unassuming, which is namely the reason this page exists -- to
help show you how everything works.
First of all, a certain no. of add-on domains are included FREE
with both the ecommerce and HDT web hosting plans, and also selected
business and windows web hosting plans. Second, with each domain
you add, you are still able to have the following functions with
each domain:
Have Separate Email Addresses & FTP Accounts for each domain
Check Web-Mail for each domain
Manage MX Entries for each domain
Easily Manage Sub-Domains for each domain
Easily Check Web-Stats for each domain
To help explain how all this works, we're going to use an illustration:
Say your main domain is australia.com. And your "add-on"
domain is queensland.com. Simple enough. It is important to understand
that your add-on domain will rest within a folder in your main australia.com
directory. For instance, these domains point to the following folders:
australia.com: /home/australia/public_html/
queensland.com: /home/australia/public_html/queensland/
It is apparent that the "queensland" folder is the folder
used for queensland.com. What's even more incredible is that queensland.com
can be accessed in one of the following ways: as the domain, www.queensland.com
; as the subdomain of the original domain, queensland.australia.com
; or as a directory under the australia account, australia.com/queensland.
And when users type in queensland.com, they will never see your
australia.com parent site (queensland.com will act as its OWN site!).
That's right, the public will never know you are using add-on domain
functionality.
Some advanced users may question how this works. Simple. each add-on
domain acts as it's own site and all DNS entries point to the folder
as if it were another account at bizwebspace.com.au hosting.
NOTE: All add-on domains are for SELF USE only. You may not resell,
or give these domains to friends, other businesses, etc. All other
domains MUST register their own account with bizwebspace.com.au
hosting.
Now... let's answer some obvious questions:
1) Do I have to pay anything
extra for these domains?
2 ) How do I add a domain to my account to work as
it's own site?
3) What are the NameServers for my new domain(s)?
4) Can I have Email, FTP, Subdomains with my new domain(s)?
5) How do I access my new site(s) via my FTP account?
6) How many domains can I add? Is there a maximum?
7) Can I give these domains to my family or friends?
8) How do I view the web-stats for my new domain(s)?
9) What is the difference between an add-on & parked
domain?
1) Do I have to pay anything
for these domains?
A. No. Each Ecommerce and HDT (High Data Transfer)
web hosting plan comes with a certain no. of add-on domains for
no extra cost.

2) How do I add an add-on
domain to my main account?
A. You'll be surprised at how simple this process really is! First,
you will obviously need to register your desired domain with a registrar.
In this case, we will add the domain queensland.com to australia.com.
So to begin, you will need to login to your australia.com web hosting
account control panel. Once inside your account, you will need to
navigate to the DOMAINS menu and select "Manage add-on Domains"
(as shown below)...

So far so good. Once you click on "Manage add-on Domains"
you will be taken to a page similar to the following:

As shown above, I have entered our new add-on domain, queensland.com,
into the NEW DOMAIN NAME field. To make things simple, the sub-domain
I have associated with this name is identical to the add-on domain.
I will then add a password "qld" to this add-on domain.
Once I have clicked on the ADD button, you may have to wait a few
moments as bizwebspace.com.au Hosting does its magic to create your account. Once
completed, you should see something similar to the following:
This basically shows the "play by play" of your account
setup. It is important to note to NOT use the Nameservers mentioned,
but use the NameServers found within your master Activation Email
(the email that you received when you once created your account).
Now you have setup your add-on domain! To complete this process,
navigate back to your domain registrar and update the DNS settings
to the same DNS/NameServers as your main account (again, as found
within your Activation Email). Of course if you need any help with
any of this, please don't hesitate to contact us using our support form at: http://www.bizwebspace.com.au/support.shtml

3) What are the NameServers
for my new domain(s)?
A. It is very important that you use the same Name Servers as mentioned
in your master Activation Email. Simply go to your domain registrar
for your new "add-on" domain and select to use the same
Name Servers as your current site is on. You will not experience
any downtime by this addition. :-)

4) Can I have Email, FTP,
Subdomains with my new domain(s)?
A. You sure can! And it can all be done from within your main control
panel! To help illustrate, if you were to go in any of the mentioned
areas, such as email, you will see something similar to the following
(suppose you use the add-on domain, australia.com):
After each item (email, FTP, subdomains, etc..) you should see
a drop-down menu (similar to the above). Simply create your new
email by entering all the fields and selecting CREATE. It's as simple
as that. :-)

5) How do I access my new
site(s) via my FTP account?
A. You may do this through one of two ways:
1) Through your main FTP account (preferred). That's right, you
may access your new add-on domain through your master FTP account
for your main domain. For help configuring this main FTP account,
you may click here. You will find your main add-on contents within
the public_html directory under a special folder delegated just
for your add-on domain.
2) Through your add-on FTP account. With every add-on domain you
create, you also create a special add-on FTP account. Use the following
credentials when configuring your FTP editor.
.:. FTP Host .:.
your_main_domain.com
(or the add-on domain if it resolved)
.:. UserName .:.
add-on_username@your_main_domain.com
(replace add-on_username with the username assigned for your add-on
PLUS replacing your_main_domain.com with your main CPanel domain)
NOTE: All add-on domains are for SELF USE only. You may not resell,
or give these domains to friends, other businesses, etc. All other
domains MUST register their own account with bizwebspace.com.au
Hosting. Of course, this does not apply to accounts under our reseller
accounts. And all of your files will be located there! Of course,
if you have any questions with this, please don't hesitate to contact us using our support form at: http://www.bizwebspace.com.au/support.shtml

6) How many domains can
I add? Is there a maximum?
A. The no. of domains you may add depends on the web hosting plan
you order. Just look under "Primary account features/ add-on
domains" in the features list of the web hosting plans to see
how many add-on domains your web hosting account includes. Just
remember that EVERY domain is for self-use only, as we do have sophisticated
checks to insure this policy is followed.
Of course, if you would like to give a domain to a friend, please
consider referring them to bizwebspace.com.au

7) Can I give these domains
to my family or friends?
A. Unfortunately not, the add-on domains are only for domain names
that are registered in the account holders name.
Every client should really have their very own account with us
as this feature is a privilege for users with multiple accounts.
We do have sophisticated checks to insure this policy is followed.

8) How do I view the web-stats
for my new domain(s)?
A. Simple. Navigate to your bizwebspace.com.au web hosting control
panel and find the following icon:
Simply click on "SubDomain Stats" from within your DOMAINS
menu (as shown above) and you will be taken to a new window. Scroll
down until you see the "Webalizer" icon, followed by a
list of sub-domains. Simply click on the sub-domain that represents
your add-on and you will be taken to its very own STATS page.
NOTE: Please allow a good 24-48 hours for the STATS log to show
for any account. The add-on domain will obviously not show in this
directory if the log does not exist.

9) What is the difference
between an add-on & parked domain?
A. A Parked Domain is placing a domain on top of another domain,
which in turn effectively points all HTTP and email traffic from
the parked domain to the to the domain it is parked on top off.
For instance, if your main account is abc.com and you park the domain,
xyz.com, then each time a user types in xyz.com, they will automatically
be taken to abc.com.
An add-on domain basically allows for the use of a completely new
domain. Click here for more information about add-on domains.
